The Boston Celtics are reportedly acquiring small forward Evan Fournier from the Orlando Magic, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski previously reported that both sides were working to finalize the deal, with a pair of second-round picks heading back to Orlando.

This comes on the heels of Orlando sending centre Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls, and with rumours of an Aaron Gordon trade swirling.

Fournier, a nine-year NBA veteran, has posted a career-high 19.7 points per game this season (his seventh in Orlando). The 28-year-old also has a career high assist rate (3.7 per game) to go with a 56 per cent effective shooting percentage — 30 points higher than his career average.

Fournier is signed only through the end of this season.
