Report: JaVale McGee signs three-year, $20.1M deal with Mavericks

Free agent JaVale McGee has agreed to a three-year, $20.1 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, with player option for third season, sources tell The Athletic's Shams Charania.

McGee most recently appeared in 74 games in the 2021-22 season for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 9.2 points and 6.7 rebounds in 15.8 minutes of action per game.

He also previously played for the Mavericks during the 2015-16 season, appearing in 34 games averaging 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game at that time.

In 14 NBA seasons McGee has played for the Washington Wizards, the team that drafted him, as well as the Suns, Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Philadelphia 76ers.
