The Oklahoma City Thunder are adding a guard to go along with the big man they already drafted on Tuesday night.
The Thunder traded for the draft rights to No. 16 pick Bennett Stirtz from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for No. 17 pick Ebuka Okorie and two second-round picks, the teams announced.
In a coinciding move, the Grizzlies are trading Okorie to the Detroit Pistons to move down the board for the No. 21 pick in the draft for three second-round picks.
With that 21st pick, Karim Lopez of the New Zealand Breakers in the NBL heard his name called.
Lopez put up 11.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game on 50.2 per cent shooting across 31 games played with the Breakers last season.
Stirtz averaged 19.8 points per game on 47.7 per cent shooting in 37 games played last season for Iowa, helping lead the Hawkeyes to their first Elite Eight appearance since 1987.
Okorie, on the other hand, was named First-Team All-ACC in his lone season at Stanford after leading the conference in scoring, netting 23.2 per night.
Earlier in the evening, the Thunder selected Michigan centre Aday Mara with the 12th-overall pick.
The Grizzlies also took Duke forward Cam Boozer with the third-overall pick.
