The New York Knicks have turned to restricted free agency for centre depth.
Moussa Cisse of the Dallas Mavericks agreed to a two-year offer sheet with the reigning champions, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported on Saturday.
The Mavericks have until Monday to match the offer.
Cisse, 23, is coming off a rookie season with the Mavericks in which he appeared in 38 games, averaging 4.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
New York lost centre Mitchell Robinson to the Boston Celtics in free agency, though it has since added veteran Andre Drummond to its frontcourt.
