Taylor Elgersma is continuing to make a name for himself in NFL circles.
According to Justin Dunk from 3 Down Nation, 17 teams have sent representatives to the University at Buffalo pro day on Thursday to get a first-hand look at the former Wilfrid Laurier University quarterback.
As the NFL draft process began to ramp up, Elgersma made history by becoming the first Canadian university QB to be invited and play in the Senior Bowl — the premier annual All-Star event for the top seniors at the college rank. He impressed scouts and coaches with his natural arm talent and frame — six-foot-five, 220 pounds.
Elgersma led the Golden Hawks to a Vanier Cup appearance last season on the heels of an Hec Crighton Trophy-winning season. The London, Ont., native threw for 4,011 yards with 34 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions in 2024.
Joining Elgersma at the pro day was Laurier teammate and wide receiver Ethan Jordan. The Chatham, Ont., native caught 99 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 scores last season.
