The New York Jets have signed former CFL quarterback Chris Streveler.

Streveler was signed by the Miami Dolphins back in February but was released in May in order to make room for linebacker Melvin Ingram III.

The 27-year-old spent two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals completing 17-of-25 pass attempts for 141 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Streveler was released by Arizona in November 2021 and would join the Baltimore Ravens for the remainder of the 2022 season.

Streveler last played in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019 where he helped the team win a Grey Cup. Streveler completed 65 per cent of his passes for 2,698 yards in two seasons with Winnipeg along with 19 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,167 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.

Streveler will look to beat out Jooe Flacco and Mike White to earn a spot on the roster behind starter Zach Wilson.
