Jennifer King is an offensive assistant coach for the Washington Football Team. She was the first Black female full-season coach in the NFL. During the regular season, King assists coach Randy Jordan with the running backs.
Callie Brownson, meanwhile, is the chief of staff for the Cleveland Browns. She was also the first female Division 1 college football coach. This is her second season as a coach in the NFL and first season with the Browns.
Sarah Thomas will be one of the referees in this Sunday’s matchup, having been hired as the first full-time female NFL official in 2015. Thomas is also the first woman to earn an on-field assignment for a playoff game.
Washington and Cleveland will square off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
