The Jacksonville Jaguars are locking up a key piece of their offence.
Tight end Brenton Strange signed a three-year, $48-million extension with $25 million guaranteed, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported on Wednesday.
Strange enjoyed a breakout campaign last season despite being limited to just 12 games, posting career highs in catches (46), yards (540) and touchdowns (three).
The 25-year-old, who's entering his fourth NFL season after being picked in the second round of the 2023 draft, has totalled 91 grabs for 986 yards and six scores with the Jags.
Jacksonville is now deep at the tight-end position with Strange under contract for three more years after doubling up at the position in the draft, where it took Nate Boerkircher in Round 2 and Tanner Koziol in Round 5.
Strange is the second tight end is as many days to sign a three-year extension with their club, joining Kyle Pitts who re-upped in Atlanta on Tuesday.
