The New Orleans Saints will reportedly be without their entire running back corps on Sunday after they were deemed to be in close contact with Alvin Kamara, who was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
New Orleans will shift wide receiver Ty Montgomery to running back and call up a player from the practice squad to operate out of the backfield. Montgomery does have experience as a running back, but only has one carry in five games this season.
Saints running backs coach Joel Thomas will also be unavailable Sunday.
The shorthanded Saints can clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a win over Carolina, a Green Bay Packers loss to the Chicago Bears and a Seattle Seahawks victory vs. the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.
