Saints place star RB Alvin Kamara on reserve/COVID-19 list

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been placed on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced on Friday.

As a result, Kamara’s status for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Carolina Panthers is in doubt, as well as his availability for the first round of the NFL playoffs.

Kamara, 25, has registered 187 carries for 932 rushing yards and a league-best 16 rushing touchdowns in 15 games (10 starts) this season.

The Saints can clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a win over Carolina, a Green Bay Packers loss to the Chicago Bears and a Seattle Seahawks victory vs. the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.
