Anthony Beauvillier is staying put.
The free agent forward signed a two-year, $5.5-million extension to stay with the Washington Capitals, the team announced Thursday.
Beauvillier finished last season with the club, who acquired him in a March trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In 2023-24, the 28-year-old winger played games for the Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators.
Beauvillier had 15 goals and 10 assists in 81 combined games with the Penguins and Capitals last season.
Beauvillier has 131 career goals and 140 assists for 271 points in 631 career games with the New York Islanders, Canucks, Blackhawks, Predators, Penguins and Capitals.
The Islanders selected the native of Sorel-Tracy, Que. 28th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.
