After turning a one-year prove-it deal into the best offensive season of his career, Anthony Mantha has found a new home.
The veteran winger signed a two-year contract worth $9.5 million ($4.75 million in average annual value) with the New Jersey Devils, the team announced on Wednesday, cashing in after a bounce-back campaign that restored his value and made him one of the more intriguing names available in a thin free-agent market.
Mantha will earn $5.4 million in 2026-27 and $4.1 million in 2027-28.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman was the first to report the signing.
Mantha’s stock surged after a remarkable season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he scored 33 goals and 64 points in 84 games.
The Longueuil, Que., signed a one-year, $1.25-million deal with Pittsburgh after having ACL surgery that limited him the previous season.
