Cale Makar is missing a game, but here's guessing he's not too upset about it.
The Colorado Avalanche defenceman is out Tuesday against the Dallas Stars as his wife is due to give birth to twins, the team announced.
Makar, 27, holds three goals and four assists in five games this season. The two-time Norris Trophy winner has played at least 75 games in three of the last four campaigns.
Fellow blue-liner Noah Juulsen will take his place in the lineup against the Stars. He has one assist in three games.
The Avalanche and Stars will meet again Wednesday in the second half of a home-and-home in Denver. It's unclear whether Makar will be available for that game.
