The Colorado Avalanche re-signed veteran winger Darren Helm to a one-year, $1.25-million deal on Wednesday.
Helm had seven goals and eight assists in 68 regular-season games before adding two goals and three assists in 20 playoff games to help Colorado win the Stanley Cup in his first season with the squad.
It was Helm's second Stanley Cup, as he also captured the title in 2008 with the Detroit Red Wings.
Helm, 35, has 119 goals and 147 assists in 812 career NHL games with the Red Wings and Avalanche.
The Red Wings selected the native of St. Andrews, Man., in the fifth round (132nd overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.
