The Colorado Avalanche have a seven-year, $49-million offer on the table to captain Gabriel Landeskog, who is slated to become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Friedman also reports there are numerous teams looking to land the 28-year-old power forward, who would be one of the top names available when free agency opens at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT, and there have also been discussions about the possibility of an eight-year deal.

Landeskog, a member of the Avalanche for 10 years and the team's captain for nine, is coming off a seven-year, $39-million contract.

In 54 regular-season games last season, Landeskog scored 20 goals and added 32 assists, notching 13 points in 10 post-season contests.
