St. Louis Blues netminder Colten Ellis inked a one-year, two-way contract extension on Tuesday worth $775,000, the team announced.
Ellis, 23, spent time last season with the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears as well as with St. Louis’ AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds where he registered a 7-9-0 record while ranking fifth in the league with a .924 save percentage.
Selected by the Blues in the third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Ellis has accumulated an 8-12-3 record across 22 career AHL regular-season games.
St. Louis finished fifth in the Central Division this past season and have goaltenders Jordan Binnington and Joel Hofer under contract in 2025.
