The New Jersey Devils lent a helping hand to the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday.
The Devils acquired 50 per cent of Trent Frederic's salary from the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward prospect Petr Hauser.
The Devils then sent Frederic to the Oilers for forward prospect Shane LaChance.
Hauser, a fifth-round Devils pick in 2022, has one goal and three assists for Vitkovice HC of the Czech league this season.
LaChance, a sixth-round Oilers pick in 2021, has 10 goals and 15 assists in 32 games for Boston University this season.
