The Boston Bruins announced that goaltender Tuukka Rask will not return to Thursday’s game against the New York Islanders due to an upper-body injury.
Jaroslav Halak will takeover in net for the Bruins for the remaining two periods.
Rask, 34, missed several games earlier this month after appearing to injure his back in a 1-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils on March 7. This season, Rask is posting an 8-4-2 record with a .906 saves percentage and a 2.46 goals-against average.
