The Montreal Canadiens made a late adjustment to their lineup ahead of Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Defenceman David Savard was listed as out with an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day, the team announced shortly before puck drop.
Jayden Struble will take his place in the lineup.
Coming into Thursday's game, Savard had suited up for all but one of the Canadiens' games this season. He missed a contest on Nov. 16 with an upper-body injury.
The 34-year-old has yet to score a goal this season but has five assists in 27 games to go along with 25 hits and 70 blocked shots. He has the fourth-highest average time-on-ice of Montreal defencemen, coming in at 18:58 a night.
Struble, meanwhile, has tallied two goals and three assists in 21 contests this season while logging 15:09 TOI per game.
A second-round pick of Montreal in 2019, the 23-year-old Struble made his NHL debut with the club last year, skating in 56 games.
Montreal is currently 11-14-3 and sits in last place in the Atlantic division.
