The Montreal Canadiens are making a pair of lineup changes for Game 1 of their second-round series against the Buffalo Sabres (7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+).
Forward Joe Veleno and defenceman Arber Xhekaj will slot in for Brendan Gallagher and Jayden Struble on Wednesday for the Canadiens.
Veleno did not play during Montreal's seven-game triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning, but suited up in 61 regular-season games and recorded two goals and three assists.
Xhekaj, meanwhile, played in Games 1 through 6 against Tampa Bay, but was inactive for Game 7. He had one assist and a plus-3 rating in the series.
Gallagher drew in for Montreal for the final three games against the Lightning and scored in Game 5. Struble played in all seven games, but didn't record a point.
