Devils acquire Amadeus Lombardi from Red Wings

One of the best names in hockey is on the move.

The New Jersey Devils have traded for centre Amadeus Lombardi from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 draft, the teams announced on Thursday.

A fourth-round pick in 2022, Lombardi has spent the last three years with the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins, putting up 16 goals and 26 assists in 47 games last season.

The 26-year-old Newmarket, Ont., native has not made his NHL debut.
