New Jersey Devils head coach Lindy Ruff will miss his team's next two game after the passing of his father. Leeson Ruff passed away at age 88 on Jan. 28.

Assistant coach Alain Nasreddine will take over for the Devils' back-to-back against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Devils will play Toronto at Scotiabank Arena Monday night, then head back to New Jersey to finish the home-and-home against the Leafs before the All-Star break.

This will be Nasreddine's second stint filling in for Ruff. The 46-year-old took over for three games in late December when Ruff tested positive for COVID-19 and has a 2-1 record behind the bench.
