The Vegas Golden Knights re-signed forward Jake Leschyshyn to a three-year contract on Saturday with an average annual value at the NHL minimum salary.

Leschyshyn recorded two goals and four assists in 41 games during his rookie campaign with the Golden Knights last season.

The 23-year-old Leschyshyn also registered 27 points (14 goals and 13 assists) in 34 games with the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights.

The son of former NHL defenceman Curtis Leschyshyn, Jake was born in Raleigh, N.C., while his father played for the Carolina Hurricanes and grew up in Saskatoon. He was drafted in the second round, 62nd overall, by Vegas in 2017.
