The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenceman Nicolas Hague to a three-year contract with a $2.294-million average annual value, the team announced Monday.

Hague, 23, was a restricted free agent before signing the contract.

The Kitchener, Ont., native had four goals and 10 assists in 52 games with the Golden Knights last season.

Hague is entering his fourth NHL season since Vegas drafted him 37th overall in 2017, the franchise's first NHL Draft.
