Hockey world celebrates Connor McDavid's historic 100-point season

Watch as Connor McDavid reaches 100 points with an assist on a Leon Draisaitl goal.

It's official: Connor McDavid has reached 100 points in only 53 games.

With four points in Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks, it was a power play assist on a Leon Draisaitl goal that allowed the Edmonton Oilers captain to reach the century mark.

Not since the early 1990s when Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Jaromir Jagr were rewriting the record books have we seen a season like the one McDavid has put together.

With the hockey world in awe of such an accomplishment during a pandemic-shortened season, fans took to social media to celebrate the impressive feat.
