The Carolina Hurricanes are making a goalie switch, starting Frederik Andersen in Game 6 versus the New York Islanders on Friday after going with Antti Raanta for the first five games of the series.
The Hurricanes lead the series 3-2 after the Islanders staved off elimination with a 3-2 win on Tuesday.
Andersen had been sidelined by an illness for the first five games.
Andersen played 34 games for the Hurricanes this season (21-11-1, 2.48 goals-against average, .903 save percentage) and Raanta played 27 (19-3-3, 2.23 goals-against average, .910 save percentage).
Raanta has a 2.59 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in the playoffs.
