Seth Jarvis will be retaking the ice Tuesday night.
The forward is set to return from an upper-body injury after being activated from injured reserve, as the Carolina Hurricanes host the Dallas Stars.
Jarvis, 23, has not played since Dec. 19, when he crashed into the post during a game against the Florida Panthers.
With 4:40 left in overtime, Jarvis made a fast dash toward the net, and as he attempted a shot, he was inadvertently tripped and sent flying into the post by the Panthers' Evan Rodrigues, who was trying to deflect the puck.
He stayed down on the ice briefly, appearing to hold his midsection, before being helped off and down the tunnel.
Before his injury, Jarvis had recorded 19 goals and 10 assists in 34 games this season.
