Jets, Oilers, Senators each lose players on waiver wire

The Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators all lost players on waivers Tuesday as teams finalize rosters before the start of the NHL season.

The New Jersey Devils claimed goaltender Eric Comrie from the Jets, the Nashville Predators claimed defenceman Luca Sbisa from the Jets, the San Jose Sharks claimed forward Rudolfs Balcers from the Senators and the Carolina Hurricanes claimed goaltender Anton Forsberg from the Oilers.

Every other player placed on waivers Monday, including notable names Corey Perry, Loui Eriksson and Mathieu Perreault, cleared and are eligible to be assigned to the taxi squad or the AHL.

A number of players were placed on waivers Tuesday, with the New York Islanders' Leo Komarov and Hurricanes goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic being the most notable names.
