The Seattle Kraken acquired forward Oliver Bjorkstrand from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick and a 2023 fourth-round pick on Friday.
“We’re excited to welcome Oliver to our organization,” Seattle Kraken general manager Ron Francis said in a statement. “He’s coming off of a career year offensively playing top minutes in Columbus. His creativity and hockey sense will be good additions to our forward group.”
Bjorkstrand finished the 2021-22 campaign — his seventh NHL season — with 57 points (28 goals, 29 assists) in 80 regular-season games with the Blue Jackets, setting career highs in goals, assists, points, power-play goals and power-play points.
