Kraken claim former first-round pick Eeli Tolvanen off waivers

The Seattle Kraken claimed former Nashville Predators forward Eeli Tolvanen off waivers on Monday.

The Predators placed the former first-round pick on waivers Sunday.

Tolvanen had been a healthy scratch in seven consecutive games after scoring just two goals in 13 games for Nashville this season.

The 23-year-old was selected by the Predators with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. The Finnish forward has scored 25 goals in 135 career NHL games and also has a goal in seven career playoff games.
