The Seattle Kraken have placed goaltender Philipp Grubauer on the injured reserve, the team announced Sunday.
Grubauer left Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning during the second period after appearing to sustain a lower-body injury.
The 32-year-old Grubauer holds a 5-9-1 record, 3.25 GAA and .884 save percentage in 17 games this season.
Seattle recalled goaltender Chris Driedger from the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League.
Driedger, who last played with in the NHL with the Kraken during the 2021-22 season, has a 9-5-1 record, 2.20 GAA and .916 save percentage in 15 games with the Firebirds.
The slumping Kraken are 12th in the Western Conference with an 8-13-1 record and have lost seven straight games. They play host to the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night.
