After being battered by blue-line injuries this season, the Tampa Bay Lightning are securing their depth.
Defenceman Maxim Groshev re-signed with the team on a two-year, two-way contract, the Lightning announced on Tuesday. The team did not disclose the salary.
Groshev, 24, appeared in two games with the Bolts this season, tallying one assist.
The Russian was selected in the third round of the 2020 draft and has spent the past three seasons mostly with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch.
He had 21 points (three goals, 18 assists) with the Lightning affiliate in 2025-26.
