Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews said during his pre-game availability that he will return for Saturday night's game against the Florida Panthers.
Matthews has been sidelined for the past three games with an undisclosed injury.
The 24-year-old added that he's excited to be back after missing action, specifically the Leafs' 8-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Matthews is two goals away from a milestone 60-goal season.
Coach Sheldon Keefe and his squad will relish having the star centreman back for could be a Stanley Cup playoff series preview between the Leafs and Panthers.
