Maple Leafs' Jake Muzzin out at least three weeks with lower-body injury

Toronto Maple Leafs' Jake Muzzin left the game with an injury in the 2nd period and has not returned.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without defenceman Jake Muzzin for at least three weeks, head coach Sheldon Keefe said Monday.

Muzzin was forced out of Game 6 of the team's first-round series against the Montreal Canadiens with a lower-body injury.

The Woodstock, Ont., native has been one of the Maple Leafs best players all series, highlighted by his two-goal performance in Game 5. Rasmus Sandin, who had been alternating a lineup spot with Travis Dermott, will dress in Muzzin's place for Game 7 Monday.
