Maple Leafs sign forward Nick Ritchie to two-year contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs are signing forward Nick Ritchie to a two-year, $5 million contract, the team announced Saturday.

Originally drafted 10th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2014, Ritchie scored an NHL career-high 31 points with Anaheim in 2018-19.

He was dealt to the Boston Bruins in 2020 and played parts of two seasons in Boston. During the 2020-21 campaign, he appeared in 56 games, scoring 15 goals and adding 11 assists.
