Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon received another positive COVID-19 test on Saturday and will not travel with the team on Monday, according to head coach Jared Bednar.

MacKinnon did not participate in practice on Sunday following the Avalanche's 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.

The Avalanche are set to begin a three-game road trip beginning on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. They then face the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday and Saturday, respectively, before returning home to play the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 26.

MacKinnon initially tested positive last Tuesday and was ruled out of Colorado's home opener as a result.
