The NHL has postponed all Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers and Colorado Avalanche games through Christmas because of COVID-19 concerns, the league announced Friday.

The Flames now have 19 players in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, the Panthers have seven and the Avs have five.

Calgary has now had six games postponed after two more were added to the list on Friday.

The postponements for the Panthers (three games) and the Avs (four games) came less than 24 hours after each team played on Thursday night.

A decision on when each team’s training facilities will re-open will be made by the League and the NHLPA in the coming days," the NHL said in a statement. "The League is in the process of reviewing and revising all three teams’ regular season schedules."

Four games originally scheduled for Saturday now are off the schedule -- including a Montreal-Boston contest postponed earlier Friday.
