Oilers sign goaltender Ilya Konovalov to two-year, entry-level contract

The Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Ilya Konovalov to a two-year, entry-level deal that will begin in the 2021-22 season, the team announced Monday.

A third-round pick by the Oilers in the 2019 NHL Draft, Konovalov played in 19 games for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the KHL, where he had a 9-7-2 record, a 2.29 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.

The 22-year-old has played in 111 career KHL games, posting an overall record of 53-41-9.
