Florida Panthers defenceman Keith Yandle is scratched for Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

It is the first time the 34-year-old has been scratched since March 2009.

The scratch will not affect his consecutive game streak, however, which sits at 922 games and only applies during the regular season.

Yandle has three goals and 27 points this season with the Panthers.
