Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry will be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, coach Mike Sullivan announced on Saturday.

Jarry made 29 saves against the New York Islanders on Thursday to help the Penguins clinch a playoff spot, but was absent from the team's practice the following day. It's not known when Jarry suffered the injury and he did not accompany Pittsburgh on their road to trip Boston for their game against the Bruins.

In 58 games this season, the 26-year-old has a 34-18-6 record with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

Casey DeSmith will take over the starting goaltender duties with Jarry sidelined. The 30-year-old has bounced back from a tough start to the season with an 8-4-5 record, 2.94 GAA and a .906 save percentage.

"We have full confidence in Case," Sullivan told reporters. "His game has really evolved over the course of the season. I think since the turn of the calendar year, he's put really solid hockey together for us. He's given us a chance to win each and every night."
