Penguins sign forward Mikhail Ilyin to three-year, entry-level contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Mikhail Ilyin to a three-year, entry-level contract, general manager Kyle Dubas announced Saturday.

Ilyin's contract will begin in the 2025-26 season.

The Russian forward spent most of the 2024-25 season playing for the Severstal Cherepovets of the KHL. In 64 regular-season games, he had seven goals and 23 assists.

Ilyin, 20, was selected by the Penguins in the fifth round of the 2023 NHL Draft.
