Predators sign defenceman Jeremey Lauzon to four-year contract

The Nashville Predators have signed defenceman Jeremey Lauzon to a four-year, $8 million dollar contract, general manager David Poile announced Monday.

Lauzon was acquired from the Seattle Kraken at the 2022 trade deadline, playing in 13 games for the Predators to close out the regular season. In those games, he brought physicality to the team with 48 hits in 17:06 average ice time.

Lauzon was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft, 52nd overall, and played 76 games with the team before being selected by the Kraken in the 2021 expansion draft.

Over 142 games-played in the NHL, Lauzon has scored 5 goals and tallied 13 assists for a total of 18 points.
