Will Borgen is set to call Broadway home for the next five years.
The New York Rangers announced Saturday that they have agreed to a five-year extension with the 28-year-old right-shot defenceman.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that the deal carries an average annual value of $4.1 million.
Borgen was acquired by the Rangers in December as part of the package that sent Kaapo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken.
In 17 games with New York since the trade, the six-foot-three blue-liner has one goal, two assists and an even rating in 18:35 of ice time per contest. Across 50 total games this season, Borgen has five points and a minus-13 rating.
Borgen entered the 2024-25 campaign in the final season of a two-year, $5.4 million contract he inked with Seattle.
Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2015 draft by the Buffalo Sabres, Borgen made his debut in the 2018-19 season before being taken by the Kraken in the 2021 expansion draft. In 264 career games, he has 58 points and 607 hits.
