The New York Rangers have placed goalie Igor Shesterkin on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
Shesterkin had to be helped to the locker-room during a 1-0 win over the San Jose Sharks on Friday.
The Rangers are hopeful Shesterkin will not be out long.
Coach Gallant on Shesterkin: “We feel real comfortable he’ll be ready to go in a week.”
