New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba has been suspended two games for an unpenalized elbow he gave to Vegas Golden Knights forward Pavel Dorofeyev on Friday.
Trouba had a phone-call hearing on Saturday with the NHL's NHL Department of Player Safety, who later announced the supplemental discipline.

"The incident occurred at 18:08 of the second period of the Golden Knights' 5-2 win at Madison Square Garden in New York," the NHL said in a statement. "Following a face-off in the Rangers' left defensive circle, Trouba hit Dorofeyev in the head with his left elbow after the two were jockeying for position."
Trouba will forfeit $83,333.34 because of the suspension. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
