The New York Rangers and forward Nick Bonino have agreed to a one-year contract worth $800,000, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
Bonino was dealt to the Pittsburgh Penguins from the San Jose Sharks ahead of the March trade deadline, his second tenure with the club.
Bonino brings Stanley Cup pedigree to the Rangers after having secured the championship with the Penguins in 2017.
The 35-year-old has bounced around the league, spending time with six teams across his 823-game NHL career. Over that time, he amassed 158 goals and 353 points.
