Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin will be out of the lineup on Thursday night against the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury, head coach Jeff Blashill announced.

Larkin will undergo further tests on Friday, with more information to be provided Saturday.

The 24-year-old was named the 33rd captain in Red Wings franchise history this January. He has 23 points in 44 games for the 16-25-7 Red Wings this season.

Blashill also announced that forwards Frans Nielsen (lower body) and Tyler Bertuzzi (upper body) are officially out for the season. Bertuzzi, who played in only nine games this season, could require surgery.
