The Detroit Red Wings will be without their No. 1 goaltender for the remainder of Tuesday's game.
John Gibson did not come out for the second period against the Tampa Bay Lightning and was later ruled out by the Red Wings with a lower-body injury.
Daniil Tarasov came into the game in relief.
Prior to Gibson's exit, he allowed two goals on 13 shots.
Gibson, 33, has played 10 games for the Red Wings this season, owning a 3.37 goals-against average and a .860 save percentage.
Though he has played the entirety of his last three games, he exited after the second period against the Vancouver Canucks on Oct. 22.
The Pittsburgh native is in his second season with the Red Wings after spending the first 12 seasons of his career with the Anaheim Ducks.
