Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn underwent surgery on Monday for a lower-body injury and is expected to be out for approximately eight weeks, according to Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
Quinn suffered the injury during Saturday's game against the San Jose Sharks, exiting in the third period. The 22-year-old could not put any weight on his left leg after being hit by San Jose's Tomas Hertl.
This injury comes just over a month after Quinn returned from an Achilles injury.
Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, Quinn has 12 points (five goals and seven assists) in 17 games this season. Over 94 career games, he has 20 goals and 31 assists for a total of 51 points.
