The Washington Capitals and Buffalo Sabres agreed to swap a pair of minor leaguers.
The Sabres acquired forward Zac Funk from the Capitals in exchange for fellow winger Tyler Kopff.
Neither player has made their NHL debut yet.
In 23 games played with the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, Funk, 22, put up nine goals and 19 points.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Kopff, recorded five points in 30 games for AHL Rochester.
